A driving tool comprising a contact having a main arm part (15) and an upper arm part (16) on the upper side of the main arm part. The upper part of the main arm part (15) is positioned near a trigger (10) offset from the center of the trigger. The upper arm part (16) is bent at the offset position so as to face the center lower side of the trigger. An adjust knob (18) controlling the extended amount of the lower end (15a) of the main arm part from the tip of a nose part (4) is installed near the upper end of the main arm part (15). A receiving part (27) receiving the upper end of the main arm part through a cushioning member (26) during the upward movement of the main arm part is formed on a body (2).
