A food waste basket is provided to effectively prevent generation of decomposition of food waste and generation of bad odor by minimizing the amount of moisture contained in the food waste. In a food waste basket, a discharge opening(11) is formed on the lower surface of a cylindrical outer tub(10). An inner tub(20) having a discharge hole(21) is inserted into the interior of the outer tub and a flange(22) is caught by a peripheral portion of an inlet of the outer tub. A cylindrical hopper(30) in which an inclined guide surface(31) which becomes narrower as it goes toward the lower side and an introduction opening(32) is engaged with an upper portion of the inner tub. A cover(40) is engaged with an upper portion of the hopper. A discharge pipe which can be freely bent is engaged with the lower discharge opening of the outer tub. A knob protruding from both sides is integrally formed with a flange to conveniently carry the inner tub.
