An LCOS(Liquid Crystal On Silicon) panel assembly of a projection system is provided to prevent particles from infiltrating into a small panel to improve picture quality. An LCOS panel assembly(150) of a projection system includes an LCOS panel, a panel holder(154), a quarter wavelength plate holder(153), and a sealing member(152). The panel holder holds the LCOS panel in front of the LCOS panel and is fixed to a quad. The quarter wavelength plate holder is located in front of the panel holder and holds a quarter wavelength plate. The sealing member is placed before the quarter wavelength plate holder and seals the contact of the quarter wavelength plate holder and the quad.
