<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform progressive display of a television signal obtained by progressive imaging with high resolution while suppressing deterioration in a vertical resolution, when a plurality of video data mixedly containing progressive and interlaced data are input in a monitoring camera system. <P>SOLUTION: If video data to be written into a memory 103 and output are progressive video data, an inter-image prediction coding means 106 performs inter-image prediction coding of a frame structure; and if the data are interlaced video data, the means 106 performs prediction coding of a field structure. If video data to be written into the memory 103 and output are progressive video data, a display video data generator 110 performs image conversion of progressive-to-progressive at frame intervals; and if the data are interlaced video data, the section 110 performs image conversion of interlace-to-progressive. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
