PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply access required information and to reduce user's load. SOLUTION: An information provision apparatus comprises: a storage part A2 for storing a plurality of information data whose application purposes can be estimated from the contents; an application purpose estimation part A11 for analyzing the contents of each of the plurality of information data, estimating its application purpose and storing the estimated application purpose in a storage part B1 in relation with the information; and an information retrieving/sorting part A12 for retrieving information having the contents and the application purpose concerned with a presented retrieval request which can estimate the contents of information to be retrieved and the application purpose when the retrieval request is presented.
