PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moisture content measuring method for determining accurately the moisture content in a stirred and moved biochip. SOLUTION: First of all, a sensor output value D(I) is sampled and recorded in each 100 ms, and the mean value Z(I) of the newest ten measured values is calculated in each 100 ms. Then Z(I) is compared with Z(I-1), and, in the case of Z(I)>Z(I-1), SUM=SUM+Z(I)-Z(I-1) is calculated. In the case of Z(I)≤Z(I-1), SUM is compared with a step detection level value Th. In the case of SUM>Th, Z(I) is used as the measured value, and, in the case of SUM≤Th, the peak is ignored as a noise, and resetting is performed with a condition of SUM=0. The processing is continued for one minute, and the peak of a sensor output waveform in one minute (measuring time) is extracted. In this case, if the number of peaks is not less than 5 and less than 10, the mean value of the peaks is determined as the moisture content value measured in one minute. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
