PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pump in which a pulsating pressure at a discharge port can be effectively reduced by using a plurality of oil chambers with different resonance frequencies. SOLUTION: The volumes of a plurality of pump chambers are successively increased and decreased by driving an engine to discharge an oil sucked from a suction port 10 to a discharge port 11. Two first and second chambers 14, 16 with different volumes are installed on both sides of the downstream side extension area 11a of the discharge port 11. First and second communication holes 13, 15 communicating with the discharge port are formed in the oil chambers 14, 16 at the uppermost position in the gravitational direction. The pulsating pressure at the discharge port 11 is reduced by canceling the resonance frequencies in the oil chambers. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
