PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in the nonwelding connection structure of a conventional pile, a large force of pushing open a ring acts when a bending moment acts on the pile, thus a necessity of reinforcing the ring arises, and the outer diameter of the ring becomes larger to increase a settling installation resistance to lower efficiency in pile settling installation work when the pile is installed deep in the ground by a hollow drilling method. SOLUTION: A split ring 20 is fitted on the outer peripheries of end plates 101, 111 of upper/lower piles 100, 110. The ring 20 has a circumference recession 22, which has a U-shaped section, on the inner peripheral surface of the ring 20, where the circumference recession 22 is wider than the total thickness of the end plates 101, 111. The ring 20 has an extension 23 extending both up and down axially of the piles 100, 110, and a conical taper 25 is formed on the outer periphery of the extension 23, where a tightening ring 30 is fitted on the taper 25 to be fixed there. A connection structure 10 is thus formed to have an outer diameter slightly larger than that of the pile 100 and of the pile 110. A shearing key 120 is disposed on the contact face between the end plates 101, 111 of the upper/lower piles 100, 110. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
