PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner capable of improving the usability in the use by automatically rotationally turning a small-size suction port body from a storage position to a use position when detaching a second suction pipe from a first suction pipe attached with the small-size suction port body. SOLUTION: This vacuum cleaner is provided with an extension pipe 8 for sucking dust communicated with a dust collecting chamber 2, a floor brush 13 attached to the extension pipe 8 rotationally between the storage position along the tip part of the extension pipe 8 and the use position projecting from the tip of the extension sucking pipe 8, and a connecting pipe 11b connected to the tip of the extension pipe 8. A torsional coiled spring 23 rotationally energizing the floor brush 13 to the use position is interposed between the brush 13 and the extension pipe 8, and a locking means 24 which locks the brush to the extension pipe 8 when positioning the floor brush 13 in the storage position and releases the locking of the floor brush 13 to the extension pipe 8 when detaching the connecting pipe 11b from the tip part of the extension pipe 8, is interposed between the floor brush 13 and the extension pipe 8.
