The invention relates to a glass composition for a glass body of a lamp with external electrodes, where the quotient of the loss angle (tan d [10^-4]) and the dielectric constant is (I), i.e. (II). The total loss for the lamp with external electrodes can thus be actively minimised with the glass properties.
