The invention relates to a vacuum cleaner comprising a housing, wherein a suction connection connects to a suction tube and whereon running rollers are mounted in a rotatable manner in order to move the vacuum cleaner along the floor which is to be cleaned. Said vacuum cleaner also comprises a bumper strip which at least partially surrounds the housing in the direction of the periphery and which projects on the outer side over the housing. According to the invention, the bumper strip is mounted in a displaceable manner on the housing in the direction of the periphery thereof in order to improve said vacuum cleaner such that it can be moved in a simple manner even when impacting upon an obstruction without inflicting damage thereon.
