<p>A plastics molding with improved mechanical properties comprises a polymer substrate with at least in sections a surface, UV-hardened and crosslinked coating, the coating having specified properties and comprising (A) a polyacrylate; (B) a silicon-, aluminum-, zirconium-, titanium- or cerium-oxide; (C) a polyol (mono)acrylate ester; (D) a vinyl silane; (E) 2-hydroxy-2-methyl-1-phenyl-propan-1-one, trimethylbenzoylphenylphosphoric acid ethyl ester and/or 1-hydroxy-cyclohexylphenyl ketone; and (F) a silver salt, metallic silver, triclosan or a quaternary ammonium compound. A plastics molding with improved mechanical properties comprises a polymer substrate with at least in sections a surface, UV-hardened and crosslinked coating, the uncrosslinked coating composition having a DIN ISO 2341 viscosity of 8-20 seconds at 20[deg]C and the crosslinked coating having a thickness of 8-20 mu , a DIN EN ISO 14577 microhardness >=200 N/mm2>, an absence of visible scratches in a dynamic test with a Clemens scratch or crack hardness tester operating at 20 N and 2-3 cm/second for a length of 22.5 mm and a Staphylococcus aureus count of 103> or below in an AATCC 100-1998 test. The coating composition comprises by weight (A) a polyacrylate (100 parts), together with per 100 parts of (a); (B) a silicon-, aluminum-, zirconium-, titanium- or cerium-oxide (0.1-80 parts); (C) a polyol (mono)acrylate ester (0.1-100 parts); (D) a vinyl silane (0.1-80 parts); (E) 2-hydroxy-2-methyl-1-phenyl-propan-1-one, trimethylbenzoylphenylphosphoric acid ethyl ester and/or 1-hydroxy-cyclohexylphenyl ketone (0.1-5 parts); and (F) a silver salt, metallic silver, triclosan or a quaternary ammonium compound (0.1-20 parts).</p> |
