Dynamic road traffic management system responds to a disturbance and uses modelling system to determine traffic control changes

A road traffic management system [3] responds to a disturbance [S] in traffic movement along a road network. The system provides a dynamic evaluation of the system and generates a prediction of effect using a modelling system. This then generates a suitable change in the control of traffic using the light signalling [S1,S2] to re-route vehicles.
