<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for generating an animation appropriately in an information management device and an information management method for managing information on the material, a script, or the like, used for creating secondary content. <P>SOLUTION: In the information management device: material data used to create an animation, and script data using the material data for reproducing the content are accumulated. The identification information of a viewer who is permitted to reproduce the content using the script data and a content viewing key for permitting the content to be reproduced are associated and accumulated. The corresponding viewing key is transmitted to the viewer who is permitted to reproduce the content.
