METHOD OF MONITORING ARTICLE PASSING THROUGH ENTRANCE OF DIVIDED SPACE AND DEVICE FOR CARRYING OUT THE METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for monitoring an article passing through an entrance of a divided space.

SOLUTION: This device is provided with a radio frequency transmitting means being adapted to communicate with each transponder for transmitting a specific distinguishing code in order to detect the presence of each transponder along with a plurality of articles in the vicinity of the entrance and at least a pair of photoelectronic sensors arranged in series at the entrance to transmit a first signal indicating that the entrance is vacant and a second signal indicating that an article is passing through the entrance. A control means is provided to record/update a detection time event of the transponder and a change time event of signals transmitted by the photoelectronic sensors continuously. The control means compares groups of signal change time events to detect an interval of entrance passing-through time and compares a group of detection time events of the transponder with the interval of entrance passing-through time to detect the transponder which passed through the entrance completely.
