<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weather strip mounted to an upper end part of a lower back door of an automobile, enabling assembling of a cover part formed in a die molded part of the weather strip in a stable posture and having good appearance and sealing performance. <P>SOLUTION: This weather strip is mounted to the upper end part of the lower back door 1, and comprises an extrusion molded part 11 and the die molded parts 12 formed integrally with both right and left end sides of the extrusion molded part 11. The die molded part 12 is provided with a cover part 14 projecting from its main body part 13 to the light and left directions and having an approximately reverse L-shaped cross section with a horizontal part 15 and a vertical part 16, and the vertical part 16 is inserted between an outer panel 3 and an outer garnish 5. In this case, a hanging part 17 inserted between an inner panel 2 positioned in the indoor side of the outer panel 3 and a cover garnish 4 positioned in the indoor side from the inner panel 2 is hung from the horizontal part 15 of the cover part 14, and a recessed part 18 on which a tip of the cover garnish 4 abuts is formed in the hanging part 17. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
