<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide light-transmissive ceramics having excellent optical characteristics, its manufacturing method and an optical element. <P>SOLUTION: A formed body is prepared from a raw material for the light-transmissive ceramics and a binder. The formed body is arranged closely to the same composition system with the light-transmissive ceramics and also heated in the atmosphere to the temperature region where the binder is removed, and after the material is passed through the above temperature region, the material is fired while the oxygen concentration in the firing atmosphere is increased than that of the atmosphere, to obtain a light-transmissive ceramics having a refractive index of ≥1.9 and being a paraelectric body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
