PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a molding having a variable decorative lip at a predetermined section such as a trim and a weather strip having a core material which holds a flange and the like of a body opening such as a door, trunk of an automobile. SOLUTION: The method comprises the steps of; forming a covered layer having a decorative lip on the circumference of the synthetic resin core material molded by a first extruder and a first molding die; thereafter forming the variable decorative lip having a narrow gap part by pressing and bending the decorative lip sidewards at the position of a predetermined corner part by the right and left action of a variable fixture in a softened state after passing through a second molding die; and thereafter cooling to mold it.
