PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provided a press hemming machine the upper dies and the lower dies of which are made changeable into a rotary type, with which space saving is attained and also the slip of a work at preliminary bending of hemming work is eliminated. SOLUTION: This machine comprises a pair of right and left upper and lower dies 10A, 10B which are provided with the base parts 10a, 10b of the upper dies which are freely horizontally rotatable and supported in the upper parts of the base-part frames 1 and a pair of right and left lower dies 20A, 20B with which the base parts 20a, 20b of the lower dies are supported freely horizontally rotatably on the way of the base-part frames 1. A plurality of sets of the normal bending edges 11 and preliminarily bending cams 12 are arrayed freely attachably and detachably on the peripheries of the base parts of the upper dies and the main bodies 21 of the lower dies and each preliminarily bending edge 30 are arrayed freely attachably and detachably on the peripheries of the base parts of the lower dies. The normal bending edge and the main body of the lower die are oppositely arranged at a prescribed angle of rotation of the base part of the upper die or the base part of the lower die, the preliminarily bending cam and the preliminarily bending edge are oppositely arranged on the opposite side of the work carrying-in side to the normal bending edge and the main body of the lower die, the preliminarily bending edge revolves the main body 32 of the preliminarily bending edge to the preliminarily bending position in the lowering process and returns to the original position when it is further lowered. The normal bending edge is raised to height where the normal bending edge reaches the main body of the lower die after the main body of the preliminarily bending edge returns to the original position.
