PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a line structure achieving appropriate line length by setting an appropriate pitch of a workpiece in each process. SOLUTION: The line structure continuously performs multiple treatments for continuously flowing workpieces, treats a plurality of workpieces simultaneously in the respective processes, and has a transfer device for transferring the workpieces from one treatment process to the following treatment process. The pitch of the respective workpieces in an advancing direction in the one treatment process is different from the pitch of the respective workpieces in an advancing direction in the following treatment process. In the transfer device, when the workpiece is transferred from the one treatment process to the following treatment process, the pitch of the respective workpieces in the advancing direction in the one treatment process is changed to the pitch of the respective workpieces in the advancing direction in the following treatment process.
