PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide ultrasonic diagnostic equipment and an acoustic coupler facilitating the adjustment of a focus formed by ultrasonic beams of an ultrasonic probe. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic diagnostic equipment comprises the ultrasonic probe 12 transmitting/receiving ultrasonic waves to a subject P, a transceiver section 2 driving the ultrasonic probe 12 and executing ultrasonic scanning on the subject P, a transmission/receiving control section 4 controlling the transceiver section 2 and setting the focus in the scanning direction of the ultrasonic probe 12 on the region of interest of the subject P, a probe moving mechanism 13 adjusting an offset amount between the subject P and the ultrasonic probe 12 and setting the focus in the slice direction of the ultrasonic probe 12 on the region of interest, and a position detector 14 detecting the position of the ultrasonic probe 12 adjusted by the probe moving mechanism 13. The transmission/receiving control part 4 changes and sets the focus in the scanning direction on region of the interest based on the position signal from the position detector 14.
