<p>A method for electroplating all or part of a wheel rim of light metal alloy involves: (a) applying layer(s) of fluidized acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene terpolymer (ABS) by wet spraying or dipping onto the mechanically treated (i.e. irradiated, polished, milled, turned and polished) and passivated and/or chromated rim; and (b) hardening the coating in an air exposure and drying cycle causing permanent adhesion to the rim.</p> |
