<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cast drum of high durability and a clutch drum of an automatic transmission. <P>SOLUTION: The clutch drum 21 comprises a cylindrical part 22, a bottom part 23, and ribs 27. The cylindrical part 22 having an internal circumferential surface 22b extends along an axis 101. The bottom part 23 having a bottom face 23c extending continuously from the internal circumferential surface 22b intersects one end of the cylindrical part 22. Each of the ribs 27 protrudes from the internal circumferential surface 22b, and extends along the axis 101 to the position continuing to the bottom face 23c. The cylindrical part 22 and the bottom part 23 have further an outside surface 21a positioned on the rear of the internal circumferential surface 22b and the bottom face 23c. On the corner 25 of intersection of the cylindrical part 22 and the bottom part 23, recesses 28 depressed from the outside surface 21a are formed to position at the back side of the ribs 27. By the recesses 28, the thickness of the corner part 25 at the position where the ribs 27 are formed is reduced so as to approximate it to the thickness of the corner part 25 in the place where the ribs 27 are not formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
