PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a speaker capable of accurately detecting an electrostatic capacity formed between a center pole and a voice coil bobbin without being affected by external disturbance noise. SOLUTION: The speaker detects the electrostatic capacity formed between the center pole 5 and the voice coil bobbin 4 and is characterized in that any of a case 9, a frame 10, and the center pole 5 is mounted with a conversion circuit 11 for converting the detected electrostatic capacity into a particular electric signal to be outputted. Thus, the length of lead wires 11f for interconnecting a detector and the conversion circuit 11 can be decreased and the external disturbance noise affecting the lead wires 11f can be minimized.
