PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and device for inspecting a cutting edge capable of accurately measuring a cutting edge of a blade in a short time. SOLUTION: In the method and device for inspecting the cutting edge, a holding means for holding the blade, a rotating means for rotating the blade about the cutting edge, an imaging means for imaging the cutting edge, and an illuminating means for radiating illumination from the same direction as the optical axis of the imaging means are used. The imaging is performed by the imaging means while the blade is rotated by the rotating means, and an angle of the rotating means at which the picked up image is brightest is determined to measure the shape of the cutting edge of every part of the blade.
