<p>A clinching tool 62 for mounting a sealing strip to the flange of a vehicle, the tool comprising two clamping members 68, preferably with planar surfaces 78 and preferably pivotally connected 72 to the body of the tool. The clamping members preferably extend from the body 70 of the tool 62 and the free end of each of the clamping members is curved to a generally right angled shape. A wedge (80 Figure 7) may be used, with a compressed air motor, to pivot the arms from the open (full lines Figure 7) to closed position (dashed lines Figure 7). The bend in the arms allows the tool to be used in areas where access is restricted for example around the boot hinges of vehicles.</p> |
