A display device and method for moving pixel locations are provided to enhance image quality by preventing an image movement distance from being increased even when an output resolution is degraded. A display device for moving pixel locations includes a display panel(140), a signal input unit(110), a resolution adjusting unit(130), a signal processor(120), a pixel movement amount calculator(150), and a controller(160). The display panel has a predetermined panel resolution. The signal input unit receives an input signal having a predetermined input resolution. The resolution adjusting unit adjusts the resolution according to the input resolution. The signal processor processes the input signal and outputs the result on the display panel. The pixel movement amount calculator calculates a pixel movement amount on the display panel based on a ratio between the panel resolution and the output resolution. The controller controls the signal processor, so that the pixels in the input signals are moved to a predetermined direction by the pixel movement amount per a predetermined period.
