A power control apparatus for a network device is provided to forcedly re-boot a modem, not operated or malfunctioned, through the rest of modems normally operated in a remote place when the modem is not operated or malfunctioned in a network by using multiple lines, thereby easily managing the network. A power control apparatus for a network device comprises the followings: a relay for a modem(130,132,134,136,138); a relay driving unit(140); a RS-232(Recommended Standard-232) processor(160); a relay for a router(170); and an MPU(Micro Processing Unit)(150) of a device side which controls the relay driving unit(140) in order to re-boot a corresponding modem after checking data for power control of an arbitrary modem, received through the RS-232 processor(160) of the device side, and controls the relay driving unit(140) when an existence message, transmitted at predetermined time intervals from the router(20) through the RS-232 processor(160), is not transmitted for a predetermined reference time, and drives a reset circuit(28) to reset the MPU(150) of a router party.
