A keypad lighting assembly of a portable phone using a light guide plate is provided to simplify a manufacturing process by positioning the light guide plate between a key sheet and a contact portion for guaranteeing structural stability, to enhance brightness as well as durability, and to minutely adjust regularity of light emission by controlling the transmission amount of light via an opening portion of the light guide plate. A keypad lighting assembly of a portable phone using a light guide plate comprises a PCB, a metal dome portion(40), a contact portion(30), the light guide plate(20), and a key sheet(10). The PCB has LEDs installed on one side thereof. The metal dome portion(40), including a metal dome and a dome tape for fixing the metal dome, is adhered to the PCB. The contact portion(30), forming an uneven structure which has a protrusion matched with the metal dome, is positioned on the metal dome portion(40). The light guide plate(20), including an uneven pattern which is an uneven reflection structure and is capable of transmitting light, is combined on the contact portion. The key sheet(10) is combined on the light guide pate(20).
