<p>A mobile communication system for reducing electromagnetic waves of a mobile communication terminal and an electromagnetic wave reduction method using the system are provided to receive time information for entering an electromagnetic wave reduction mode from the terminal to maximally decrease RF(Radio Frequency) tuning time between the terminal and a base station on the basis of the time information, thereby reducing the generation of electromagnetic waves as decreasing power consumption. Mobile communication terminals(110,120) provide interfaces capable of inputting time information for operating in electromagnetic wave reduction mode, and deliver the set time information to base stations(111,121). An MSC(Mobile Switching Center)(150) receives the time information through the base stations(111,121), and controls the base stations(111,121) so that page signals are selectively delivered to the terminals(110,120) on the basis of the time information.</p> |
