EXPANSION VALVE CONTROL METHOD FOR AIR-CONDITIONER

An expansion valve control method for an air-conditioner is provided to reduce superheat by controlling an superheat degree with reducing an opening angle change amount in comparison with a conventional opening change amount. An expansion valve control method for an air-conditioner includes the steps of: determining an indoor temperature(S110); calculating a control period of a variable LEV(Linear Expansion Valve) according to the determined outdoor temperature(S120); amending by setting the opening angle increment/decrement of the LEV in response to the control period of the variable LEV(S130,S140); determining whether the opening angle of the amended LEV satisfies a target overheat degree or not(S150); and maintaining the opening angle of the LEV when the opening angle of the amended LEV satisfies the target overheat degree.
