A communication system using a mommy phone and a baby phone and a method therefor are provided to enable a user to make a wired call after accessing a short-range wireless communication RF(Radio Frequency) module embedded in an AP(Access Point), by using a baby phone embedded with a short-range wireless communication RF module in an indoor space, while the user is able to freely and wirelessly call without being affected by other peripheral wireless apparatuses. A baby phone(102) has an ID for demanding a wired call to an AP(101) or for demanding a call for using a mobile phone network to a mommy phone(103), and demands a call to the AP(101) or the mommy phone(103) through a short-range wireless communication RF module when the ID is inputted. The mommy phone(103) calls by using the mobile phone network with a CDMA(Code Division Multiple Access) module, or demands a wired call by accessing the AP(101), and receives a mobile phone network usage request signal of the baby phone(102) to connect the baby phone(102) with the mobile phone network if the ID of the baby phone(102) is registered in the mommy phone(103) and the mommy phone(103) is not in busy state. The AP(101) has a short-range wireless communication RF module, and connects the baby phone(102) or the mommy phone(103) with a PSTN(Public Switched Telephone Network)(100) by the wired call demand sent from the baby phone(102) or the mommy phone(103).
