A still picture file presentation method in an optical disc device is provided to list extensions of still picture files having formats capable of performing presentation except for the extension of a still picture file designated in the optical disc device and perform the presentation of the still picture files on the basis of the listed extension information. A microcomputer searches extensions of other still picture files except for a specific file extension previously designated in a set, and registers the searched extensions to perform the presentation of still pictures(S10-S14). The microcomputer performs the presentation of files of the same extensions as the registered extensions among still picture files of an optical disc(S15-S19).
