A sine wave generator for improving a performance of an alternator and a method thereof are provided to improve the performance of the alternator by uniformly maintaining the number of rotations of an engine. A sine wave generator for improving a performance of an alternator includes a digital signal generation unit(120), a gain adjusting unit(130), a switching unit(140), a sine wave generation unit(150), and a voltage display unit(160). The digital signal generation unit(120) measures an output voltage of the alternator, and generates a digital signal if the measured output voltage is the same as a predetermined reference voltage. The gain adjusting unit(130) is connected to the digital signal generation unit(120), and adjusts a gain to convert the digital signal into a sine wave by receiving the generated digital signal. The switching unit(140) is connected to the gain adjusting unit(130), and selects and outputs a signal component of the output voltage of the alternator by adjusting the gain through the gain adjusting unit(130). The sine wave generation unit(150) is connected to the switching unit(140), and generates a sine wave to charge a battery by filtering the selected signal by the switching unit(140). The voltage display unit(160) is connected to the alternator and displays an amplitude of the output voltage of the alternator. |
