EARTHQUAKE PROOF EXPANSION JOINT

An earthquake-proof expansion joint apparatus is provided to turn a radial bearing, and to return a finger joint elastically by turning the finger joint laterally on the bridge with simple structure and increasing support strength of an elastic restoring unit. An earthquake-proof expansion joint includes a base panel(20) fixed in a cut portion of a bridge(10), plural finger joints(30) combined with the base panel, arranged symmetrically and engaged with each other, and a radial bearing(40) having an outer body fastened to the finger joint and penetrated up and down to laterally turn and elastically return the finger joint on the bridge, an inner body spaced from the outer body and fastened to the bridge and an elastic restoring unit elastically restored in conversely turning the outer body and the inner body. The elastic restoring unit has plural support members between the inner body and the outer body, and an elastic member made of rubber or resin between the support members. Hardness of the elastic member is increased from the outer body to the inner body.
