<p>A drying apparatus and a control method thereof are provided to decrease energy consumption by optimally and quickly discharging steam, to prevent crease and static electricity by evenly distributing steam in a drum, and to improve satisfaction by putting the laundry out of the drum after cooling. A drying apparatus includes a drum(120) rotating in a body and containing the laundry, a steam generator(150) for generating and discharging steam into the drum, a steam diffusion unit for evenly distributing steam in the drum, and a dry air generator for generating and blowing dry air into the drum. A fan(160) as the steam diffusion unit is installed in the drum to evenly diffuse steam in the drum, and arranged in a passage for supplying steam to the drum. The dry air generator includes a heater(132) for heating air by turning on and off, and a blower(144) for blowing air into the drum with the heater. Static electricity is removed from the laundry by evenly diffusing steam in the drum.</p> |
