DIGITAL BROADCASTING RECEIVER FOR PROTECTION OF BROADCASTING CONTENTS AND THE METHOD THEREOF

An apparatus and a method for receiving digital broadcasting for protecting broadcasting contents are provided to allow a user to access broadcasting contents through a broadcasting contents protection management interface with safety. A digital broadcasting receiver includes a platform(380), a middleware(340), a platform interface(360), and a middleware interface(320). The platform stores received broadcasting data. The middleware includes an application manager which manages various applications so that broadcasting contents corresponding to the received broadcasting data are consumed according consumption policy. The platform interface interfaces the platform with the middleware. The middleware interface interfaces the various applications with the middleware.
