The system has a controller, a voltage supply and at least one antenna connected to the controller at a first end for communicating with an operating device via an especially bi-directional radio path. The antenna can be subjected to a direct voltage and/or current. The controller has arrangements for measuring direct voltage and/or current and for evaluating the measurement result for use in determining the antenna connection state. The system (14) has a controller (10), especially associated with a motor vehicle, a voltage supply (VBatt) and at least one antenna (12) connected to the controller at a first end for communicating with an operating device via an especially bi-directional radio path. The antenna can be subjected to a direct voltage and/or current and the controller has an arrangement for measuring direct voltage and/or current and an arrangement for evaluating the measurement result for use in determining the antenna connection state.
