A displaying method for caller identification is provided to play audio data sent by a caller before a call is connected, so that caller identification is conducted with the auditory element, thus a receiver easily and exactly confirms the caller. A caller selects an audio file to be transmitted, through an audio selection UI(User Interface)(S201). The caller's terminal which attempts an initial telephone call generates an SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) method by including the selected audio file(S202). The caller's terminal attempts a call connection for a telephone call with a receiving terminal by using the generated SIP method(S203). The receiving terminal separates the audio file from the SIP method through an SIP parser(S204). An audio player of the receiving terminal plays a bell sound by using the selected audio file to display the bell sound, so that a receiver confirms the caller(S205).
