Control line conduit connector and cover

A system and method to facilitate connection of completion assemblies at a downhole location. A completion assembly 28 comprises a control line conduit 44 having a connector 46 designed for coupling with a corresponding connector 34 of a next adjacent completion assembly 26. A cover 52 is selectively used to block entry of debris and other contaminants into the connector 46 during deployment of the completion assembly 28 downhole prior to engagement with the next adjacent completion assembly 26.
