A nut mounting structure for a ring terminal of a joint box is provided to allow for ease of assembly by eliminating the necessity of press-fitting a mounting piece of a nut into a slot when the nut is inserted into a nut mounting portion of the joint box. A nut mounting structure for a ring terminal of a joint box(21), comprises a nut mounting portion(23), a nut(30), and a hook(29). The nut mounting portion is formed at one side of the joint box, and has a flat bottom and both ends with slots(27). The nut has a mounting piece(32) with both ends to be fitted into the insertion slots. The nut has a joint portion(34) with a joint hole, arranged on the mounting piece. The hook is arranged on a bottom surface of the nut mounting portion so that a front end of the hook is extended toward an interior of the nut mounting portion. The hook is elastically transformed by the insertion of the nut, and supports one side of the mounting piece when insertion of the nut is completed.
