The station has a stationary support structure (12) and a vertically displaceable lifting slide (22) that is supported on the support structure (12) and is arranged on a conveyer system (38). An electrical sliding contact (48) and two opposing contacts (52, 58) transmit electrical energy to the conveyer system only in a selected lifting position of the lifting slide (22). A lower and upper dead center of the slide pertains to the selected position. Energy storage is arranged on the slide to store the energy transmitted by the contacts. An independent claim is also included for a surface treatment plant comprising a lifting station.
