An operation circuit of an air compressor for preventing an electric discharge of a battery in a heavy construction equipment is provided to restrict power of the battery from being transmitted to the air compressor by automatically disconnecting the circuit in stopping an engine. An operation circuit of an air compressor(13) includes a battery(11) supplying constant voltage, the air compressor operated by receiving power from the battery, a battery relay(12) connected between the battery and the air compressor and turned on in starting an engine, a compressor relay(14) connected between the battery relay and the air compressor to transmit power to the air compressor, a pilot pump(19) generating hydraulic pressure in starting the engine, a solenoid valve(18) opening and closing a hydraulic line(19a) of the pilot pump, a pressure switch(15) mounted in the hydraulic line, and a compressor operation switch(16) connected to the compressor relay and a positive current source. The pressure switch is shut down in applying hydraulic pressure to the solenoid valve to transmit power from the battery to the air compressor. A pilot cutoff switch is installed between the compressor operation switch and the positive current source, and switching contact points are connected to the solenoid valve and the compressor operation switch. Power is transmitted from the battery to the air compressor in closing the normal close switching contact point of the pilot cutoff switch.
