BACIULLUS SUBTILIS KMU-13 KCCM 80020 HAVING ANTIFUNGAL ACTIVITY TO PLANT DISEASE-CAUSING PATHOGENS

A novel Bacillus subtilis KMU-13 KCCM 80020 is provided to show anti-fungal activity against various plant-diseases causing pathogens, thereby being used as a biological controlling agent for producing environmental-friendly agricultural products. The Bacillus subtilis KMU-13 having antifungal activity against plant disease-causing pathogens such as Cladosporium cucumerinum, Fusarium oxysporum, Colletotrichum gloeosporioides, Fusarium graminearum and Botrytis cinerea is deposited as a deposition number of KCCM 80020. The biological controlling agent comprises the Baciullus subtilis KMU-13 and is prepared by culturing the Baciullus subtilis KMU-13 in an LB culture solution including 1.0% tryptone, 0.5% of yeast extract, and 1.0% of NaCl, where 0.1-1% of maltose and 0.1-1% of bactopeptone are added, at a temperature of 25-40 deg.C with maintaining 100-250 rpm under pH of 5-7.
