PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid level sensor excellent in chemical or heat resistance properties as well as gas shutoff property for steam or the like, in medical application and treatment of industrial chemicals. SOLUTION: The case material of the optical fiber sensor 1 comprising a transmitting optical fiber 5, a receiving optical fiber 6, a prism detecting part 4, etc., has a sealed structure with at least two resin layers 2, 3. With the two-layer multiple structure, a steam through the resin layer 2 is condensed on a boundary part S so that liquid drop adhesion to the optical fiber part 5, 6 is prevented and deterioration of optical fiber properties is avoided.
