A mobile communication terminal and a system having a function for controlling a message and a method using the same are provided to exactly measure the capacity of a message, which is made, or message contents in real time, thereby effectively controlling the capacity of the message based on the measured capacity. A mobile communication terminal having a function for controlling a message comprises the followings: an input unit(110); a controller(120) which determines whether measured message capacity exceeds maximum message capacity, preset in the mobile communication, according as the message capacity changing by input of data is measured; a display(130) for displaying information corresponding to the measured message capacity or message contents according to a control signal of the controller(120); and a transmitter(140) for transmitting a message including the message capacity information and the message contents to a message managing server according to a control signal of the controller(120).
