PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable accurate and quick recognition of a sign even at night by providing a display plate which has through holes corresponding to the positions of light emitting diodes in front of the diode substrate where the light emitting diodes are arrayed, and arranging irregular and translucent reflection plugs which are fitted in the through holes. SOLUTION: A sign unit has a hollow inside and has a figure for a traffic sign at a diamond-shaped display surface 2 on its external surface. A light emission part of the display surface 2 has light emitting diodes 3 and 4 arranged at a specific interval along the outline of the figure, while the display surface 2 consists of a display substrate and a diode substrate 5 arranged opposite its internal surface and is mounted with the light emitting diodes 3 and 4 in front of the diode substrate 5. At the positions corresponding to the light emitting diodes 3 and 4 of the display plate 8 of the display substrate, the circular through holes 6 and 7 are formed and the translucent irregular reflecting plugs 9 and 10 are fitted in the through holes 6 and 7, which are closed. |
