PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a malfunction in discrimination as to whether something is caught by an opening/closing body at a completely closing drive. SOLUTION: The rotary cycle of a motor driven to open or close a side window for a car is calculated on the basis of pulse signals generated so as to interlock therewith. When the cycle t(n) becomes larger than a discrimination value C(n), the judge is started and the condition is continuously detected. When the cycle t(n) has become larger an averaged cycle tav(n) obtained from the present cycle and the prior cycle in a section A to discriminate whether something is caught or not, only the time interval in which the condition continues is regarded as a judging section B of catching. In this way, a malfunction at the time when the same behavior with that in a temporary catching case is shown owing to the frictional variation of the mechanical part or the like can be prevented and hance, a more secure discrimination control can be carried out. |
