Sorption cooling element with gasproof film

The unit has a sorbent material (4) sealed into a sorbent-containing pouch (1) having a multilayer sheeting material with metallic layer or metallized layer. The material allows a vacuo to sorb a vaporous working medium that evaporates from a fluid working medium in an evaporator. A shut-off unit prevents the working medium vapor from flowing into the sorbent material upto the moment at which the cooling process is initiated. An independent claim is also included for a method for producing a cooling unit.
