A modular integrated head assembly for a commercial reactor is provided to reduce the necessity of revaluating a reactor container and a reactor coolant loop to added weight by optimizing the gross weight of a lower part to be substantially identical to the gross weight of a service structure of the container head. An integrated head assembly includes a lower part(110) supported by a reactor, a detachable upper part(160) supported independently of the lower part, and a duct(150) extending from the upper part to the lower part. Air flow is generated around a mechanism driving a control element by a forced air cooling system. The lower part is attached to a container closing head(90). The lower part has a ring beam to be engaged with a lifting lug of the container closing head.
